Therefore He is able also to save to the uttermost (completely, perfectly, finally, and for all time and eternity) those who come to God through Him, since He is always living to make petition to God and intercede with Him and intervene for them
Hebrews 7:25 (Amplified Bible)
Because Jesus is our faithful High Priest, who “…lives always to intercede…” for us, according to Hebrews 7:25, we will never be denied when we enter into God’s presence. This free passage and unlimited access to the throne afforded us by the cross, allows us unrestrained favour before God; providing that we do remain IN CHRIST!
Jesus underwent such terrible suffering for a special purpose and that was to make us holy, as He is holy, (1 Peter 1:16) “…Jesus…suffered…to make the people holy through his own blood.” (Heb.13:12)
God is the same yesterday today and forever, and there is no shadow of turning with him: His love remains constant throughout the generations. He can’t change – he remains the same forever – His faithfulness was proven and tested. His love for us is unadulterated and scripture tells us that it is unconditional (1 John 4:7-21; 1 Cor. 13:8). And this unconditional love was revealed to us in the spilling of His innocent blood.
God’s love for us will never be based on anything we have accomplished in our lifetime. It will only ever be based upon what Jesus accomplished. “I think that if there could be one sight more wonderful than the love of Christ”, says Charles H. Spurgeon, “it would be the blood of Christ... Much we talk of Jesus’ blood, but how little’s understood!” Spurgeon goes on to say, “I do not know of anything more divine. It seems to me as if all the eternal purposes worked up to the blood of the Cross, and then worked from the blood of the cross towards the sublime consummation of all things. Oh, to think that He should become man!”
“God has made spirit, pure spirit, embodied spirit; and then materialism; and somehow, as if He would take all up into one, the Godhead links Himself with the material. He then wears dust about Him even as we wear it; and taking it all up, He then goes, and in that fashion, redeems His people from all the evil of their soul, their spirit, and their body, by the pouring out of a life, which while it was human, was so in connection with the divine, that we speak correctly of ‘the blood of God.’”
That very blood that purchased our eternal redemption; in Acts chapter 20 Paul said, “Feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.” The wonderful sacrifice that absolutely obliterated annihilated and extinguished sin, and all the traces that could possibly remain of it!
Father I thank you for the revelation of the blood of Christ and what it accomplished for me. Especially during Easter when the importance of redemption is driven home all the poignantly! Thank you for my Passover Lamb, who was sacrificed to take away my sin. To love me utterly and to save me to the uttermost!
CONFESSION OF THE DAY
My confession to day is one of great confidence in Christ; my Redeemer and Saviour. This confidence provides a great recompense of reward, all the time I don’t abandon my hope in Him. He ever lives to plead my case and I ever live to worship Him, the Resurrection and the Life. Hallelujah!
“Cast not away therefore your confidence,
which hath great recompense of reward.”
Heb 10:35 (KJV)
